What are Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture?
Chinese Medicine is a healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow and helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient's body as well as to restore their physical and emotional well-being. Acupuncture can help with a variety of conditions and disorders from the head to the feet. acute and chronic pain, headaches, heart and lung issues, digestive disorders, gynecological, reproductive, men's health, anxiety, depression, and so much more. That's because Chinese medicine sees the body as a whole, managing the symptoms while treating the root of the condition.
Which Conditions Does Acupuncture Treat?
In 2003 the World Health Organization (WHO) published a list of conditions that were shown in controlled trials to effectively be treated with Acupuncture. That was 15 years ago! Thousands of studies have been done on acupuncture since then and research has been growing exponentially.
A list of conditions treated with Acupuncture published by the WHO:
Low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, knee pain, peri-arthritis of the shoulder, sprains, facial pain, TMJ, headache, dental pain, acute and chronic gastritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Induction of labor, breech birth presentation, morning sickness, nausea and vomiting, postoperative pain, stroke, essential hypertension, primary hypotension, renal colic, leucopenia, radiation/chemo reactions, allergic rhinitis, hay fever, biliary colic, depression, acute bacillary dysentery, primary dysmenorrhea, acute epigastralgia, and peptic ulcer.
What is a Treatment Like?
Each treatment begins with discussing your health concerns. For first time treatments, this will include a detailed history to allow us to understand your overall health and determine root patterns of your health. Then needles will be inserted for 20-40 minutes.
Is Acupuncture Safe?
Yes. According to the National Institute of Health, Acupuncture is safe. Only sterile, single-use needles are used. There are no toxic side effects as with pharmaceutical drugs.
Does it Hurt?
Acupuncture is virtually painless. The needles are extremely thin (0.12 – 0.25 mm in diameter – the diameter of a human hair). Patients are often surprised that they feel no pain on needle insertion.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture Therapy
~ Look and feel younger ~
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture naturally lifts and tones the face, reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin. Unlike Botox, in which the botulinum toxin is injected to paralyze the face, acupuncture facials naturally helps your face achieve its ideal shape by promoting circulation, building collagen, and toning muscles.
A treatment also addresses underlying conditions to not only help you look but also feel years younger.

Treatment includes:
Facial massage, guasha and cupping using skin nourishing jojoba oil. Facial acupuncture to target areas of concern, and body acupuncture to optimize physical and emotional well- being. A customized face yoga and facial massage routine to do at home.

Individual responses may vary, and the rejuvenating benefits of cosmetic acupuncture are cumulative. Temporary improvements can be observed after one treatment, and longer-lasting more dramatic results begin to appear after 5 treatments, once or twice a week is recommended. After completing the initial 10 treatment course, maintenance sessions every four to eight weeks can help prolong the results.
